hi Matt, thanks for posting ur query. regarding that question in the form (how long do u intend to stay? ) , i just wrote there, for as long as it is legal for me to stay.. O di ba, bait ng dating, very submissive ? joke lang, but honestly yes, I would stay as long as it was legal to stay, if not, I might as well go home right? just keep on praying Matt, your packet will arrive soon…

Uhm, i think minor problems like vision doesn’t matter that much, they just would let you know that you have a problem and that is a good thing coz at least you know, but the main reasons for the medical actually is to know whether an applicant has some contagious diseases and serious ones like STDs and TB. yes, you will pay the fees at St. Luke’s. You will also have to go to CFO. see my blog re the CFO.
I wasn’t informed by the consul if I passed or not. He just told me to wait to be called again. see my entry re interview.. thanks..

do u intend to work in the US, I answered yes.
when u go inside the embassy, and you get called to go to a window, the clerk will be the one to tell you what she needs from you, forms, documents, etc.
YOu will need to fall in line along with the others even if you have an appointment letter so go there earlier. With regards to the police clearance, you only need one since as you said you lived in the same place all these years. You need not present proof of that coz they will see it on the G325 form that you filled out, that u only lived in one place ever since.

hi gurl..im back again, this time i dont no wht to think,im so worried, we jst found out yesterday that our lawyer made a mistake in filling up my fiances form 4 him, its the year of his birth.good thing we were able 2 gave an eye 2 that b4 he sends me all that i need 4 my interview.i dnt no wat will gonna happen, u think that will make them deny me? good thing the uscis still approved it.i will jst bring affidavit from the lawyer that he had a mistake of filling up the forms?and his birthcertificate and passport showing wht the year of his birth really is. ur ryt, shouldnt get a service of a lawyer but we already done it so wat else can we do but 2 find a way 2 solve the problem.:-( here iam now, never have the chance not 2 worry more, by the way, did u already purchase a ticket even b4 ur interview or u really make sure u get the visa 1st?becoz i read some of them fiance visa applicants already have their tickets 2 get ready if they pass the interview…tnx again chari…Godbless
—–
Yes, it would be wise to bring the lawyer’s affidavit re his mistake. About your other question, I did not purchase a ticket yet not until I had my visa on my hand. I did not want to presume that time that I would be approved becoz what if I got denied? But it’s up to you if you want to purchase the ticket this early.

Hi matt,my baby is now 7 months old.I am not yet working right now as I am still waiting for my temporary greencard. I put up this blogsite and also my posts at the gov.ph forum so that other K1 applicants can find some answers to their questions straight from a former K1 applicant. Do let me know if you get approved but I am positive you will be since I do not know of any disapproved case. This site is still “under construction” , so I hope you will bear with us .

Hi Chari,
i was browsing the gov.ph forum about fiance visa. i left a message there for. well anyway, had my interview with the embassy last week april 18, 2006. but the consul didnt say if approved or not. then i went to the last window wherein the lady gave me a pink slip, but as the same didnt tell if approved. you’re so lucky to have glanced at ur papers and says IV approve, but ako i dont have any idea. so if ever my fiance visa is approved how long does it take for them to deliver it? will this take 2weeks? im just worried now, seeking ur advice. thanks.
—–
Hi kelly, sorry but I no longer visit the gov.ph forum due to my being busy too. I am glad that you already had your interview. Anyway, about your question, a friend of mine who was also a former K1 applicant told me just today that the pink slip which meant that you have to pay Delbros also means that you passed. so Congratulations !! You might receive yours anyday from now or maybe you already received it as of this writing..

what do u think? b4 the year end the papers will be ok? so that i can gve birth in usa
made me think asking some quiries like this to u cause we had similar case b4 u left

tnxxx and more power to u

Hi lalang, thanks for all your kind words, hiya naman ako :) . anyway congrats, you will soon be a mommy like me. mahirap but you can do it as most of us did.

I am trying to think how to answer your question :) , first is I do not know how fast the papers are being processed in the embassy these days, from my experience it took me four months after approval to be able to come here so if you’re now in your 5th month, plus four months of waiting eh malamang manganak ka na nyan dyan. second is even if you are able to complete all the requirements in two months time(halimbawa lang na super fast ang processing ) you will be past the “seven month pregnancy limit ” for airline carriers. In my case, i was on my 6th month so I was able to board without any problem. Should it happen that you deliver your baby there in the Phils. there is I think a portion in the forms from the packet which asks you who will accompany you to the US so that is what you will fill out but I don’t know a lot about it but please read more from other resources just to be sure.

I hope I did not worry you more with what I’ve said. Whatever happens Lalang, just do whatever you can, pray hard and hope for the best and know that God knows what’s best for us.

Hi Inna!

Im not sure if you get the chance to read this since the last post was last year…I hope though ;) ….

First of all i wan’t to congratulate you for all the blessings that you received from the great Lord…I know your life there is not that perfect but i know also that you are content and responsible at the decisions you’ve made… ;) …congratulations ;)

I really love to see people inlove, got settled and successfully built their families…I admire people like you and Fiances like your husband used to ;) ….

I am 25 years old now and at this moment in my life i can say that this is the first time i loved this much…I dont pay much attention on my own happiness as ive been through a lot in life just for me to finish my school…I have to work hard on everything…When i met my fiance, everything just turned out fine! He used to be my listener…the only one i can share my real feelings and to think its online, is really weird…However, there is something in online friendship that is genuine and more pleasing…My fiance is the bestfriend i never had in real life…We we’re very good online friends before we became lovers…It was amazing…It maybe fast but its just great and true!!! He came to visit me last year for a week and this year for 2weeks…We will celebrate our first year anniversarry this june 7,2007…yes, heheh 1st year anniversarry still..we are fast isn’t it? heheh…We met in May online last year and we we’re officialy on by june 7th 2006….Our relationship gets better and better and 2months after his first visit last year he applied for my petition….Honestly, i don’t mind getting to america cause i am ok if we live here as long as we are together…However he can’t leave his job where he earned a lot as compared to working here…

That’s the sad part but now, for practicality sake, I am hoping to join him as soon as i get my chance to reunite with him…..

I had my interview last may 24th and got approved…The whole medical and interview experience went smoothly because i have always this saying with me that “PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE”…… :) …..

The visa processing these days has to undergo strict processing specially if you are living in the province outside manila…

My fiance called the embassy yesterday (may 31st) to check for the status of my visa…A very nice Lady named Lorraine answered his call and catered his business with her…He was then told that I got approved last may 29th which is 5 days after my approved interview….He was also told that it takes 3 days after approval date before they send the approved visa’s to Delbros…

Since I live in the province of Cebu, I have read that it will take 5-7days before they can deliver my visa to me….

Upto now i am still like on pressure cooker ;) ….I think the waiting is much harder than that of the interview itself…heheh….Nothing is certain really because it doesn’t mean that if you’re already approved (by the time you had interview), you’re already safe….

Between me and my fiance, I am the worry fart…heheh…He is the positive, I am the negative BUT the good thing between us is that, we are balanced, we agree and disagree in many things BUT we are compatible…….how come? i dont know :) heheh…

I have made my parents and family proud for making it through with my school and my degree almost by my own strive and perseverance….so now they agree with me that since im on the right age, its time for me to be happy ;)

Everthing just went well with me and him since we met each other…We consider ourselves lucky and blessed to have found each other and we are very thankful to God for everything….

I hope i can receive my visa soon so we can finally be together as one and start our beautiful family together :) ….

Congrats Inna in everything…You inspire me in a way you could never imagine ;) ….I am just a simple reader of your site, comments and blogs in its own way :) ….I just read and read as to gain info’s which helped me a lot in my deals with the processing stuffs….Thank you for everything………Im sure there are more people like me out there who in their silent ways, thankful to you ;) as well……….

GOD BLESS YOU INNA AND I HOPE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY WILL BE MORE BLESSED WITH GOOD HEALTH, LOVE, INNER PEACE AND EVERLASTING HAPPINESS… :)

Hi Deobylin, I am so glad that you have been equally blessed by the good Lord. I have always said that God works for the good of those who love Him and look where He is leading you now, right into the land of Milk and Honey. I am happy for you my dear. I hope your inspiring story will also lead others to be good daughters, to make good decisions in life so that their future will be as bright as yours.

As of your visa waiting, I’m sure that by now you already have received it. And right now, you are enjoying your new life here in America. Maybe by this time , you are already happily married to your fiance. And I wish you all the happiness that you so deserve.

Hi ina, You mentioned that you were pregnant the time the petition was processed..did you ever thought of having your fiance stay here during the process?..i wonder if that is possible, because i am pregnant now and he wants to stay here during my pregnancy. Can he do that? I mean, what will happen if he comes here during process?..need your reply badly..thanks a bunch!

—–

Hi Hapee, my fiance didn’t come home to the Philippines during my pregnancy because he needs to work.

Regarding your question, I don’t know if there’s anything wrong with your fiance staying there with you during your pregnancy and while you are waiting for your papers but then USCIS will be sending receipt notices to your fiance about the status of your case so for me, it will be better if everything has been approved first before he goes home to the Philippines to stay with you. It is also convenient for him to call the USCIS office if he’s here than if he’s there in the Philippines, just in case there are some problems with the application. So just wait till the petition is approved then he can go and stay with you.

But this is of course just my humble opinion. You can join some forums about K1 and ask around about this or just read more from the internet.

Take care and congratulations for the coming baby. :)

Hi Inna, I’m a newbie here and I got really intrested with the topic. I also have plans in moving there. I have a us citizen bf who is very much willing to petition me kaso problema, we’ve only been together (i mean as bf and gf) for less than a year. My bf and I just met online through a common friend and we’ve been writing e-mails, chatting, and talking on the phone for almost a year now. We haven’t seen each other, sa webcam lang but we’re pretty sure that we wanna end up together but he cannot visit me bec of work thats why he planned on petitioning me as a alien fiancee. I really need your help. I have read some infos that there should be a meeting for the last two years, is this true? are there any instances that rule can be waive? Advise naman po o. Syempre, Im dying to leave the country, but at the same time Im not getting any younger and I feel Arthur(fiance) is really the one for me and I wanted to settle down already. Sana matulungan mo ko, baka sakaling makaalis ako ng maaga. Thanks! you are a blessing.

—–
From what I have read somewhere, this personal meeting requirement “can be only be waived if meeting your fiance(e) in person would violate long-established customs, or if meeting your fiancé(e) would create an extreme hardship for you (It is very rare to have the in person requirement waived). ” So hopefully your fiance can take some days off from work to satisfy this important requirement. I guess this meeting in person will also convince the consul that it is indeed a genuine love relationship because your fiance took the time to go to the Philippines to be with you.

Hope this helps and you can also search the internet for additional info on this. :)

Hi Inna,i read the story of eliza here.. me too have the same problem..but im hoping i get approved. My fiance filed the petition(May 14′2008)so im really hoping i get approved.Always praying,my fiance and i are 1 year 9months now he is so busy at work too,we everyday talk on the phone, emailing, chatting,he writes me a letter too and actually he shock me lol he proposed to me on cam(but its sad coz he cant be here with me)he gave me engagement ring(june 3′2008 4:30am my time)he’s a wonderful guy for me,so sweet, very loving, understanding and very very caring!as in wow,he really wants to visit me here at the philippines but he really cant coz he works two jobs.I really dont want to force him to visit me here coz i do understand him alot. But he promise me that he will visit if the papers really failed..its just he wants to do it now to file those papers and he really wants to know if we have chance to see each other…
—–
Hi Lainey, I really don’t know if it is possible that you and your fiance will not comply with the “meeting in person” requirement but if you say that he already filed the petition last May 14, ‘08 , then let us just wait for the verdict.

Can you let us know if USCIS will approve the petition even without compliance with the meeting-in-person requirement? It will be a big help to others who are in the same situation as you and your fiance.

HI inna! Good day & Godspeed. I think your site is a blessing for me. Right now, i would say I’m little worried. But i guess i have to tell you why. I live here in Cagayan de Oro. I met my fiance online last March 2007. He visited my last january 2008. Then he filed the Fiancee or 129F petition last March 31,2008. And just this July 12, he received a notice that his petition was approved. We were very happy to know it because we didnt expect it early because as i kept on reading on USCIS and travel state.gov websites, it will tell you that processing times would take like 6 months. Anyway, we’re glad it was approved early. So after we know that it was approved, me and my fiance discussed about the affidavit of support and those documents that he needs to attach to it. He works for a private company in his place for more than a year now. He works as a regular or permanent worker or employee. Just last month they were told that their company has to sell some of its business, like the one where is is assigned. And finally just last week, or last Saturday july 19, they got a meeting with their new employer or the new owner. He was happy because he was retained to the work with the same pay and more or less the same benefits with his previous employer. MY QUESTION NOW is where will he asked that certification to attach the form 134? From the old employer or with the new employer? And his Federal income tax return as also one of the supporting on that 134 is still on that old employer. Would that be ok if he gets a certification from old employer just to certify that he been working their and he is now with the new employer. And by the way, that day also, july 19, he received a notice from the national visa center informing him that they are going to forward the approved petition to US embassy in Manila within a week. Do we still have enough time especially for him to prepare and forward that affiadvit of support to me? Please, I need your precious time to answer my query…Take care and God Bless! Waiting for your kind reply.

—–
You certainly have time because even if they forward it to Manila, it takes about two months of waiting before they send you the packet. The packet will contain your interview date and all the requirements that they need of you, including that affidavit of support.

Do not worry if he is with a new employer now. What the consul wants to see is if your fiance can support you when you get to the USA. He still has a job although he’s new there so don’t worry. Anyway now, I think your fiance will need the following for the affidavit of support:
- certification from the new employer
- two to three of his most recent pay stubs.
- copies of his income tax return, or his W4s in the last three years.
- banking information about his savings, his assets
- a co-sponsor if his income will not suffice

hi! my k-1 interview visa is on sept. and i’m so anxious with all the preparations. what are the possible reasons that i could be denied?

i swear i’m such a nervous wreck these past few days. and since i’m working, i’m really apprehensive of taking time off so many times just to accomplish all the requirements, tapos baka madeny lang pala.

from what i read dun sa online checklist na prinovide ng embassy, kelangan lang ng proof that any previous marriage has been terminated. what if i’ve never been married? is CENOMAR still necessary?

plus according to the same checklist, police clearances are needed only if you stayed in a foreign country. if i never went abroad, will the nbi clearance suffice?

i’d really appreciate an opinion from. thanks and God bless you always!

—–
What I did when I was preparing all the papers was I got a CENOMAR because it is my proof that I have never been married. During my time it was not required of me to submit one but I still went out of my way and got one for myself. For me back then, it is better to have an overkill of requirements than be unprepared. If I can bring all the documents that will help me pass that embassy interview, then by God, I will bring a truckload if allowed. ;) If in your checklist it is not really required, then maybe you don’t have to bring it but if you want to be truly prepared, then go get one.

For the police clearance, I believe it was mentioned that you need to get a police clearance from all the places you’ve lived in since you were 16. Again during my time, what I did was to actually get a police clearance from all the towns and cities that I have moved and lived in since 16. So maybe I think I had 4 police clearances including the one from Taiwan, and one NBI clearance.

wow! i’m so happy for you Inna and the rest of the successful fellas.you guys are truly lucky and blest. Thanks be to God. I am also working out with my I-129F & now having a hard time in the waiting period. You have no idea why?
I had my medical, i can call it pending because of my chest X-ray problem. the result of my x-ray was cloudy so i underwent 3-day sputum collection, negative smear result and waiting for the 2-mos. culture result in last week of august. then If God will permit, i’ll get my new interview date. hopefuly, i’ll be like you sooner than i think. God bless you and your sweet happy family. thank you!

—–
If you mean you’re having a hard time in the waiting period for the packet, don’t worry , all of us had those two months or more of waiting for the packet to arrive. :)

I am sorry you had to go wait two months for the result of your test. I hope all goes well so you can proceed with your application. I know how exciting and nerve-wracking it is to go through all these things, the initial I129F, the I485 adjustment of status and all the other things in between but if it will eventually unite you with your beloved, it is all worth it, isn’t it? :)
