“Happy Mother’s Day Mom! “, My three-year old greeted me and gave me a peck on the cheek. How sweet huh? Yep, that’s the kiss that will always melt my heart for as long as I live.
How time flies. I was only ten years old then and now I’m a mother dear.
So I’m a Mom of a three-year old who’ll be turning four this August and having experienced nearly four years of what it’s like, this is my take about being a Mommy, if I will describe it in one word, it’s “hard”. It’s hard to be a Mom seriously. I have only one but it feels like it’s five and I wanna say “arrggh” sometimes, or rather most of the times. Being a Mom requires soooooo much patience. And I don’t have a lot of that but because I’ve become a Mom, I have to be.
Of course being a Mom also has its upsides, like the free, sweet kisses your child gives, his funny antics, little achievements, the smiles and giggles, the songs and the dances. And if he grows up to be a good person and citizen, then you have contributed something good to the world.
Happy Mother’s Day to my Mom, to all my friends and to all the mommies out there!
