Hackers

I got an email alert from Friendster that I have a new comment from my Mom. Naturally I was excited to read what her comment was so I immediately logged in to my Friendster and there was my Mom’s comment “Come chat with me at (link) “. Hmmn, the link looks fishy so instead of clicking the link, I typed it in on  a different window to see what the website was and like what I’ve expected, it was a porn site. My Mom’s account had been hacked and I don’t think she even knows about it . This hacker might have been posting comments and messages to my Mom’s list of friends already. Hopefully, those who get them will be smart enough to think that it was from a hacker and not from my Mom.

How I wish that this world is free from hackers, scammers and spammers but I guess the  world is full of smart people who’s got nothing to do but use their brains for evil things.

If you suspect that your friends’ accounts had been hacked like their emails, Facebook, Friendster or anything, you have to notify them so that they can change their passwords. And you have to be careful yourself too, like your passwords to your online banking, your emails they’ve got to be changed every so often so that hackers will not be able to access them.

Ma, your Friendster account just got hacked. Please create a stronger password.
