Missing Taiwan..

Ni hao ma? This is the familiar greeting in Taiwan, a place that I miss so very, very much. How I wish I can be thereĀ and visit that island again. How I miss the people, the friends I had there, the familiar places I go to in Hsinchu. Shucks, i even miss the few hostile and unfriendly Chinese because they don’t know how to speak English or “ingwon” ( hehehe) . But in general, i find the Taiwanese people to be warm and quite friendly and some are so eager to talk to anybody who speaks good English . But some would walk away if they know you can really speak English.
I miss Hsinchu so much. I used to shop there and just walk around aimlessly looking for some nice bargains. I like the very colorful tees that they have there like the colors, orange, pink, and even men wear these colorful tees.
About food, I remember I miss the fried chicken at 21st Century ( waahhh!!! miss the taste of that chicken ) and the Takoyaki they sell in the streets.
I worked there for three years and now, I’m also beginning to miss my chubby “Limpan” or supervisor. I miss my Chinese friends like Wen-tai, Dingrey and all the chinese engineers at our fab etc, etc.
I can only go back to the happy and sad memories when I was there and I will certainly go back to Taiwan sometime in the future and that is for sure.
