My immigration to USA through the fiancee petition…

Filing for the Lifting of Conditional Status

Posted on April 2, 2008 - Filed Under I-751 Removal of Conditional Status Petition

I filed for the lifting of my conditional status last week and my, that wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be. I am still quite busy so I will just post what form and documents we filed, how much I paid for the filing fee.

A fiance or fiancee visa doesn’t guarantee a permanent resident status once they get here. I entered on a fiancee visa so even though I was already granted a greencard, or a permanent resident card, in reality, it really is not a permanent resident card since we are kinda like on a probation period. Before our two-year greencard expires, we need to file for the lifting or for the removal of its conditional status. So it’s filing time again, paying time again ..
